Hi, I’m Mary Lan, a User Experience (UX) and Information Architect with over 15 years of experience ranging from graphic design to front-end coding to all facets of user experience design.

I am passionate about creating experiences that balance user needs with business goals. I am not a “rockstar UXer”, and don’t aspire to be one. Implicit in that label is design with ego rather than design with purpose. I believe that if that’s what a company is looking for, their priorities are probably all wrong to begin with -- sustainable solutions are not created by individuals with a need for the limelight, they are created by teams led by purpose. You’ll find my practical self contentedly building experiences that have measured results, thank you very much.

Currently, I’m working for Dell.com, pushing pixels from last decade to this one. We won a Webby for our work last year, and I’m confident we will earn more. I am always open to hearing about new opportunities however, so get in touch with me and let’s see if we can make something awesome.
